Safe, affordable and decent housing is a fundamental cornerstone of a healthy community. Allowing all families access to affordable housing is an important component to make this happen. Therefore, Lakeshore Habitat of Humanity has goal to raise $1.2 million dollars over the next 5 years, in addition to our annual budget, which will double our impact and improve the lives of deserving, low-income families living in our Lakeshore community.
These funds will be used to expand current build capacity, increase our local impact and have a real impression on our local economy. Affordable housing empowers hardworking, low-income families the opportunity to own their own home, create a stable environment for their children and opens greater possibilities for themselves and for generations to come.
Over 150 Families Served And Counting
Lakeshore Habitat of Humanity will provide ongoing services and programming to 150 current families throughout this campaign. Families will be offered additional financial literacy training as well as on-going social service and homeowner support.
Build or Restore
Over the next five years, Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity anticipates building or renovating approximately 6-8 houses annually, allowing an additional 40 deserving low-income adults and children the opportunity to achieve the “American Dream” and the power of owning their own home.
Perform 60 Home Repair Projects
Over the next five years, we anticipate expanding a new service of Neighborhood Revitalization at a minimum of 10-12 home repair projects per year. This includes exterior painting, critical home repairs and weatherization programs to improve energy efficiency.
